On the back: "Game Laws of Montana. It is unlawful at all times to shoot or kill any moose, buffalo, caribou, female elk, mountain sheep, antelope, beaver, quail, or Chinese pheasant. It is unlawful to kill the male elk during September and October. No person may kill more than two male elk in one season. Hunting with dogs is forbidden. The sale of elk is prohibited at all times. It is a misdemeanor, punishable by fine and imprisonment, to catch or trap, for sale, domestication, or any other purpose, any buffalo, elk, moose, or mountain sheep. It is unlawful to kill deer and Rocky Mountain goats between September 1 and January 1. No person may shoot or kill more than six deer or Rocky Mountain goats in the same open season. The open season for grouse, prairie chicken, fool hen, pheasant or partridge, is from September 1 to December 1. A license must be taken out by non-residents - for game animals .00; for game birds .00."
