Nellie May Sherwood is probably the photographer who used a Brownie camera, is probably the wife of a missionary, and is the sister of Lucy Whitten. Postcard postmarked at Browning Mont. on Apr 28, 1912 to Miss Lucy Whitten, Muzette, Pa. "'The Lord Bless Thee and Keep Thee.' Glad to get your card. Keep on praying. I spent Sunday in Browning and attended Presbyterian Church.(The only Protestant Church on the Reservation). Write often and pray much. With love Nellie May Sherwood, Browning, Mont." Regarding the photograph Nellie writes, "It is my brother-in-law."
